Walkers
Walkers are encouraged to participate in the half-marathon, 10K or 5K distance. The 10K distance is offered exclusively for walkers. We welcome competitive walkers and offer chip-timing for those who want to meet personal pace times. We welcome recreational walkers who will have the opportunity to enjoy the live music on the course and the different scenic areas at a more recreational pace. Competitive walking awards are not provided but every walker completing the half-marathon distance will receive a professionally designed finisher’s medal. In addition to the finisher’s medal, walkers can look forward to receiving a race t-shirt, raffle prizes, goodie bags, food and beverages. Half Marathon walkers will start one hour in advance of the Half-Marathon Run start. All other walkers will start with the runners. Runners will line up first at the start line with walkers behind to ensure an orderly and safe start for all participants. We’re looking forward to seeing you on the course.
